COO/CFO
As COO/CFO, Verónica leads the operations and finance functions for HGLF. Verónica joined The Foundation in June of 2021 after leading Elephant Labs, Inc. - Claimbot as their COO/CFO where she was instrumental in their capital raise led by Google. Prior to that role Verónica spent 20+ years providing financial analysis and compliance guidance for companies like American Express, Merrill Lynch and AT&T.
Verónica lends her skills to several local non-profit causes that are close to her heart. She is the past Board Chair and Treasurer for Con Mi MADRE, an organization that provides educational programming for Latina teenagers in Texas. At the Long Center she served as Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees, Finance Chair and Secretary, where she helped lead finance and development activities. Verónica is also a member of the 4ATX Foundation Board providing access to youth development and leadership opportunities to the community through soccer. At the Zilker Elementary PTA she led the charge for the implementation of a Spanish Language Immersion program. Most recently, Verónica has joined the Board of Trustees of St. Andrew's Episcopal School.
Verónica is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame, and enjoys running at Lady Bird Lake and traveling. She feels blessed to raise her family in Austin, Texas, her hometown.
