As the Career Development and Alumni Officer, Hon partners with universities to support López Scholars' career needs and is responsible for the López Scholar alum network.
In a pivotal career move, Hon transitioned to HGLF in June 2024, following a successful tenure at SXSW where he played a crucial role in empowering creatives to achieve their goals. His extensive operational experience, honed through diverse events like ACL and Trail of Lights, has been a cornerstone of his career. Before this, Hon excelled as a Senior Career Consultant at The University of Texas at Austin-McCombs School of Business, guiding MBA students to secure coveted roles at Dell, Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Nike, and other top companies.
Hon received the Texas McCombs Inclusion Award for his dedication and efforts with the Consortium and international MBA students. He also received the Robert Murff Excellence Award for his outstanding support of career services at The University of Texas at Austin. As a proud recipient of the Bernard and Audre Rapoport Service Scholarship, Hon dedicates his impact to community service.
Hon holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Texas at Austin and a master's from Miami University in Ohio. In his free time, he frequents all of Eater's finest coffee shops in Austin.
