Araceli González | Program Associate

As Program Associate, Araceli is responsible for strategic research, due diligence, and supporting the development of new and existing initiatives at the Foundation.

Before joining the Foundation, Araceli was a Student Success Research Intern, leading work to inform the expansion and growth of López Scholars.

Prior to this, Araceli conducted primary qualitative research. She completed local and international internships focused on advancing education for Latino students through programs such as McNair Scholars, the Mexico, the Americas, and Spain (MAS); and Trinity Youth Scholars.

As a first-generation college student and Latina born and raised in Houston, Araceli has personally experienced the barriers created by systemic oppression and the lack of resources that hinder empowerment. She deeply understands how transformative access to higher education and financial aid support can be for Latino communities, enabling them to break cycles of inequality to achieve their full potential.

She holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Trinity University and a Master’s in Education Policy and Planning from The University of Texas at Austin (expected May 2025).
